What is a provider?
Anyone who has a product or service to sell in South Africa. For example, an architect, a web developer, a guiter teacher, a plumber, a kitchen cabinet maker, a freelance designer, a party clown, construction engineer or any other service provider. Anyone offering a service and looking for new clients.

What is a client?
Anyone who is looking for ethical and experienced professionals to do a job or project. For example, they need a garden landscaper, or a new website or brochure designer, or a wedding caterer or an extra maths lessons teacher for their child or a babysitter or a panelbeater. Anyone who has a job to do and is looking for reliable and suitable providers to do it for them.

What does it cost?
  • Providers pay a monthly subscription only for the opportunity to receive leads. Clients offering work opportunities to providers pay nothing.
  • Providers' monthly subscription fee is R125
  • Payment is monthly in advance via debit order.
Do I need to sign a contract?
  • No - there is no contract.
  • When you sign up, your membership is valid from month to month.
  • You can leave the network whenever you like.
  • You pay only R125 per month via debit order for the opportunity to receive leads. There are no other costs for receiving or processing leads.
  • When you with to cancel your membership you need only send an email to cancellations@breadandbutter.co.za and your account will be closed immediately and no further subscription fees charged.
  • Membership will automatically renew monthly.
How do I get leads?
  • You'll get notified that you have leads via email immediately the lead is posted on the website.
  • You can login to your account to view details of the lead and evaluate the opportunity.
  • You choose the area you work in where you'd like to receive leads - this could be limited to an area or province [local] or anywhere in South Africa [national]. All leads are for South Africa only.
  • You choose the exact type of work you are looking for by selecting the appropriate category and sub-categories for your business.
  • Leads are automatically allocated to eligible member accounts.
  • All leads are posted to your breadandbutter account so you always have a summary of your lead activity
How many leads will I get?
  • The number of leads you get will fluctuate and is determined by your type of business and natural demand for your product or service.
  • A portion of your monthly subscription fee is allocated to actively advertising for leads for your product or service category.
How do you know leads are qualified?
  • Every leads or referral should be for a geniune need now or in the immediate future.
  • All leads are quality assessed and monitored and should a member be found to be posting unqualified or junk leads, the member's account will immediately be blocked from receiving leads.
  • All clients are rated and and have comments from previous providers. You'll be able to distinguish between good and bad leads in this way.
How do I know who the Client is?
  • When you login to your account, you'll find a list of available leads.
  • When you click on the detail of each lead, you'll be able to see who the provider is and what their rating is.
Where do I find leads to add?
  • Whenever you come across a business lead amongst your business associates, friends or family, post the lead on the breadandbutter site. You'll probably find that you know several people who could become genuine leads for the network.
  • If you work in a collaborative way usually, you'll be able to pass on natural business to complementary industries. For example if you are a web designer, you naturally would be able to provide leads to copywriters, web developers, photographers, hosting companies etc.
  • There are a myriad of different providers in many different service categories looking for leads. Scan the categories and then pro-actively think about who in your network of business associates, colleagues, friends and family would benefit from that service.
How do I add leads?
  • If you have an opportunity for yourself or your company, you simply login and click on "leads you add" and complete the quick and easy web form.
  • If you want to refer someone else, your login and click on "referrals" and complete the quick and easy web form.
  • You'll be able to track the progress of your leads and you'll also have a report of how many leads you've contributed to your total.
How are leads allocated to members?
  • Each lead or referral is automatically allocated to all and relevant members in the network.
  • The lead will be notified via email that member providers from breadandbutter will be contacting them about their requirements - so they will be expecting your call.
  • Each member has the option to contact the lead to make them an offer, submit credentials or quote to secure the business. Of you may choose to decline the opportunity.
  • It's totally up to the lead to decide which offer to accept and which provider member to work with, if any.
  • Outcomes of all lead interactions are transparent and are recorded on the website for members to view.
What is an eligible member account?
In order to maintain eligibility to receive leads, two conditions must be met:
1. Monthly subscription fee should be paid up - settled in advance
2. Account status should be open [and not blocked due to misconduct]

How do I sign up as a provider?
  • Complete the registration form now.
  • You'll get an email right away to activate your account.
  • Login and complete your debit order authorisation.
  • We'll make the first debit at the end of the month.
  • You can start to exchange leads immediately.
How do I close my account?
When you wish to cancel your membership you need only send an email cancellations@breadandbutter.co.za and your account will be closed immediately and no further subscription fees charged.

What is a client?

How do I find providers?
  • You sign up as a member and login.
  • Then you add your business opportunity or lead into the system.
  • Your lead will be automatically distributed to all suitable providers.
  • They will indicate whether they are able to work on your project by accepting your lead.
  • You'll be able to see how many providers have been notified and how many have accepted your lead.
  • You can view details of the providers and check their ratings and references.
How do you know the providers are good?
  • All providers are rated and have comments from previous clients.
  • You'll be able to distinguish between good and bad providers by reviewing their ratings and references.
How do I know who the provider is?
  • When you login to your account, you'll find a list of leads you have added.
  • When you click on the detail of each lead, you'll be able to see who the providers are that would like to work on your project.
How do I post my lead?
  • Once you have signed up, you'll be able to login to the system.
  • Once logged in, you add the details of your requirements in a simple web form.
  • Every lead or referral must be for a genuine need now or in the immediate future.
  • All leads are quality assessed and monitored and should a member be found to be posting unqualified of junk leads, the member's account will immediately be blocked and and closed.
  • Your lead will be immediately emailed to all relevent providers.
Does everyone see my contact details?
No. Your contact details will only be revealed to those providers that you choose to work with.

How do I interact with providers?
  • You'll be able to monitor which providers are available and able to respond to your request as they will accept your lead on their side.
  • You can then scan which providers you wish to deal with and interface directly with them.
  • You are not obliged to work with any provider if your requirements are not satisfied.
  • All members are requested to complete a short evaluation and comment on the service provided by the selected provider.
How many projects can I post?
As many as you like.
